Tableau

Strong visual analysis and exploration, managed so you do not end up with four hundred workbooks and no idea which ones to trust.

Tableau is excellent for exploring data. It is often deployed for monitoring, which is a different job.

What we do with Tableau

Approved data sources

A small, clearly marked set that carries a guarantee, kept separate from everything else people can connect to.

Live or extracted, decided per case

With refresh times that match when the underlying data actually arrives, rather than a schedule someone guessed at.

Access rules that are tested

So a regional manager sees their region, and you have proof of that rather than an assumption.

Clearing out the unused

Workbooks nobody opens get archived, with one click to restore. What survives is what people genuinely rely on.

Making it fast

Usually by fixing the data underneath rather than the workbook itself, and we will tell you when that is the case.

Works with

Connects to what you have

Excel, SQL databases, cloud platforms and business applications, without exporting first.

Single sign-on

Okta and Azure AD, so access follows the same rules as everything else.

Ask Data and Explain Data

Plain-language questions and automatic explanations of what is driving a figure.

Python and R

Where an analysis needs more than the built-in functions.

What clients use it for

Executive reporting

Board and leadership packs that survive scrutiny.

Operational dashboards and KPI tracking

For the teams making decisions weekly rather than quarterly.

Automated dashboards

Replacing the manual report someone rebuilds every Monday morning.

Commenting and alerts

So a conversation about a number happens next to the number.

Where it fits

We are not a reseller and we take no vendor commissions, so there is nothing riding on which platform you choose. What we care about is whether the setup can be operated by your team after we leave.

  • Recommended where it genuinely solves a problem you have, not as a default
  • Implemented as code in your repository, under your accounts
  • Handed over with runbooks for the failure modes we actually hit

We build it so your team can run it

Everything sits in your accounts, in your repository, from day one. No lock-in and nothing that depends on us remembering how it works.

Common questions

Our dashboards are slow. Can you fix that?

Almost always, and the fix is usually in a source system. A workbook doing heavy work at the moment someone opens it is a sign that work should have happened earlier, in the data.

How many workbooks should we have?

Far fewer than you do. A lot of what exists is people's own working files, which is perfectly fine. It is the shared ones where trust matters.

Ready to turn complexity into your next advantage?

Tell us what you are running today and what is not working. That is a more useful starting point than a platform comparison.
